Have you been the victim of domestic violence or have you been threatened?

In the event of an acute threat, please call 110! The police will take all necessary measures to ensure your safety. You can file a criminal complaint at any police station.

You can be accompanied by a trusted person and/or legal counsel when filing a report. If the police become aware of domestic violence, for example through calls from neighbors, an investigation is automatically initiated.

If you are unsure whether you should contact the police, seek advice from a trusted person, but act quickly! Contact a counseling or intervention center for domestic violence, whose contact details can be obtained from the police or the help hotline "Violence against women" (116 016, around the clock, in many languages) as well as the help hotline "Violence against men" (0800 123 9900).

Please document details of the incidents such as date, time and the exact course of events. See a doctor, tell him the origin of the injuries and have them certified and, if necessary, photographed so that you have them as reliable evidence for a possible criminal complaint.

Women's shelters offer protection from threats and the staff will advise you on further steps to take. If you are threatened or put under pressure, inform the police immediately so that appropriate protective measures can be taken quickly.
